Trinity Lutheran Church

Who We Are

We value the importance of gathering together to worship, pray for one another, and celebrate God’s presence in our lives.

Our Mission

The mission of Trinity Lutheran Church is to share the good news of Jesus Christ by serving the spiritual, social, family, and personal needs of the community. We believe that the primary reason for our existence is to bring people closer to Jesus Christ by providing worship, Bible studies, prayer, and fellowship to foster spiritual growth.

Our Community

We are celebrating 20 years since our first worship service and have enjoyed tremendous growth since then due to the increasing population of the area, especially The Villages.

Our membership is concentrated in Sumter County. With a current population around 110,000, the U.S. Census Bureau distinguishes Sumter County with the highest rate of growth of any county in the United States. Over half of our members live in The Villages, while some live in 55+ communities in Lake or Marion counties.

Our Membership

We are a unique church with a congregation comprised almost entirely of retired persons who have settled here to live in age 55+ communities. Our inspiring Christian community is now close to 1,000 members.

We benefit from a membership hailing from all parts of the country. Many were members of LCMS congregations in their hometowns and came here looking to join another LCMS church.

Reaching Out

Our very active and influential social and service outreach programs serve the diverse needs of our community. Many of our new members have joined us because another member extended an invitation to participate in one of our programs. This inclusiveness has helped us become a cohesive group of long-term, dedicated Lutherans balanced by persons who were previously “unchurched” or who came from different religious affiliations.
